PLEASED TO MEET YOU
Peaceful Fountains meets 007 in a Hong Kong hotel when she arrives to gift Bond with a 'massage', compliments of the management.
"On the bed, please. Face down."
CAUGHT IN THE ACT
Bond really is caught in the act with this one. Despite the insistence of Peaceful Fountains that she's 'not that kind of masseuse' Bond uses his power of seduction to disarm her, before uncovering a waiting camera crew behind a one-way mirror.
Peaceful Fountains of Desire is a Chinese agent posing as a masseuse to get to Bond in his Hong Kong hotel room. She appears only in this one scene where she is sent to glean information from 007 under orders from the Chinese government. Sadly, for her, Bond always comes out on top.
Rachel Grant was born Rachel Louise Grant de Longueuil, to an English father and a Filipino mother. Grant is fourth cousin to Princes William and Harry of England.
She attended dance and drama lessons in England and got her first screen job, dancing for 'Top of the Pops'.
Grant soon won Miss Great Britain and after that success toured the world. After her trip she returned to England and got the role of 'Nina' in the Sci-Fi TV series, "Sci Fright".
'Die Another Day' was her first 'big-screen' performance and in her audition she demonstrated her knowledge of martial arts.
"After auditioning I was at Pinewood shooting the scene," she said. "It was terrifying, especially when Lee Tamahori, the director, and the writers came to look me up and down."
Rachel has since had small roles in two other films, "Double Zero" (2003), and later the same year, "The Purifiers", in which she played a member of a martial arts gang.
Rachel is said to take an interest in classic Sci-Fi series such as "Star Wars" and "Planet of the Apes" as well as Manga and Japanese animation.
